Making the Best of Boring

Hi, I'm Henry.  I've been in the hospital for four weeks.  And I'm bored.

So while my brothers are at Grammy and Paw Paw's house doing this . . .

My "big day out" going to the hospital atrium looks like this . . .

But I'm making the best of it.  I went outside yesterday with Mommy, Daddy and Uncle Matt, and I felt the wind in my hair.

I pulled my ng tube out when I got really bored yesterday, and I smiled and laughed.  Too bad Mommy and Daddy didn't get a picture of THAT.

So I'm having some fun.  I even had Music Therapy today!

They keep saying I will get to go home soon.  I hear it won't be today, but I'm sure I'll find something to do while I wait!

  1. O, Sweet Henry! Great post! I am glad you felt the fresh air and had music for your soul. We love you and continue to pray you make it home very soon. I am also really glad to see your big brothers getting to be loved on by Grammy and Paw Paw. Hugs and Kisses to you, Sweet Little Miracle.

  2. Good to see that he's having some OTHER kinds of "adventures" and "excitement" at the hospital. (Let it stay that way!) Here's hoping next summer, he's running around Grammy & PawPaw's making mischief with the Big Boys!
Much love, God Bless -- Suzie

So many are.....even those who have never met you personally....through the loving posts of your mommy....we have come to know and love you. God bless!
Lord, thank You for the progess Henry has made. Continue to bless him and heal him, Lord. We pray that soon he will be home. Continue to bless Kara and Scott with the strength and hope that they need to face the challenges of each day.

  4. Kara, thank you for taking the time to post the pictures and the updates on Henry. I know a lot of people sure appreciate it. We have been able to better pray for Henry with the updates. I have certainly felt like I have gotten to know the precious miracle and your family through these posts. I have heard a lot about your family from your dad as my yellow lab Angel Joy has been a patient of his for 11 years. I continue to pray for you and your family.....and we have been praying for you in the ourprayer.org online prayer group that literally spans the globe!
God bless you, Kara. I pray that this roller coaster ride that you have been on will soon be over.
I guess one of the reasons I have become so close to you is because I am a new grandmother to a 1 month old grandson Draven Jeremiah. As I hold him I think about Henry.
I truly hold you in highest esteem for all that you have been through. Take care and I pray soon this will all be behind you!
